Vice President, Content and Events - Energy & Industrials


GLG's Content and Events team delivers best-in-class virtual and in-person programming by engaging industry leaders in conversations about the market movements and trends reshaping industries today. Our events provide timely, actionable insights to top investment professionals and business leaders around the world.

We are seeking a strategic and intellectually curious Vice President, Content to lead programming efforts centered around the Energy and Industrials sectors. This role is ideal for someone passionate about these dynamic industries and experienced in developing high-impact content and events for sophisticated audiences. The VP will be responsible for shaping the editorial strategy, guiding a high-performing team, and delivering compelling programming tailored to the needs of global investment funds.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of virtual and in-person events focused on Energy and Industrials, including expert interviews, panels, and thematic series.

Define and drive content strategy aligned with the priorities of leading financial services clients.

Identify and engage senior industry executives and thought leaders to participate in programming.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content aligns with client interests and market trends.

Mentor and manage a team of content professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and collaboration.

Monitor industry developments to proactively surface timely and relevant topics.

Ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and client engagement across all programming.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Journalism, Economics) preferred.

7+ years of experience in content development, research, journalism, or programming, ideally within the financial services, consulting, or energy/industrials sectors.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop both younger and seasoned professionals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.

Extensive knowledge of the energy and Industrials sectors and links to market dynamics.
