Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our PRN Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) , you will join our dynamic team at St. Joseph Medical Group (SJMG) for our Express Care (Urgent Care) clinics in Bryan/College Station, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and significantly impact the vital healthcare needs of our local communities within a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering essential urgent care services, expertly diagnosing and treating acute conditions, providing comprehensive patient education, and making appropriate referrals. You will also have the flexibility to choose from 12-hour weekday and 8-hour weekend shifts that fit your schedule, contributing to the community's health while enjoying a supportive team environment.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active Texas license. We seek strong clinical skills, a commitment to excellence, and exceptional interpersonal skills adaptable to a fast-paced setting. Prior Urgent Care experience is beneficial, but new graduates eager to learn and grow are welcome, with access to extensive resources from CommonSpirit Health.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Required for certification)

  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

  • Active or eligible license in the state of Texas

  • Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and episodic illnesses/injuries

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in an urgent care setting

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment , demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced clinic

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals across the lifespan
