To thrive as a Dungeon Master in a real-world, entertainment or educational context, you need excellent storytelling, improvisation, and game facilitation abilities, often supported by experience with tabletop roleplaying systems such as Dungeons & Dragons. Familiarity with virtual tabletop platforms (e.g., Roll20, Fantasy Grounds) and organizational tools is highly beneficial. Strong soft skills like creativity, empathy, and effective communication help engage diverse participants and manage group dynamics.
