Position Summary:  Duke Football Former Player Fellowship

The Duke Football Former Player Fellow(s) will assist the Head Coach and coaching staff with the instruction, teaching, organizing, planning and coaching of the Duke Football program. This fellowship will take place during the spring football season during the months of March-June.

Minimum Requirements: 

Education/Training:

  • Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program from Duke University or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. 

Experience:

  • Prior playing experience as both a responsible member of the Duke Football team and at the professional level is required.

This position is:

  • Onsite and in person. The work is performed on-site or at a designated assignment location.
  • Part-Time and Benefits ineligible.

 

Work To Be Performed:

  • Responsibilities include assisting with practice planning, scheduling, training, equipment selection, student-athlete development and any other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
  • Emphasis will be placed on learning how to instruct, coach, and prepare student-athletes participating in the sport of football.
  • Learn, understand, and assist with running safe practices.
  • Review and provide insight into competition strategies and game day decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with national, conference, and university policies.
  • Counsel and advise members of the team.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
Minimum QualificationsEducation

Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program from Duke University or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Experience
