Position Overview

As a Certified Litigation Paralegal, you will be an integral part of our legal team, providing essential support in all phases of litigation. From trial preparation to case management, this role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents
  • Perform legal research and manage case files efficiently
  • Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery indexes, and case-related documents
  • Prepare exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests, including subpoenas and summarizing records and discovery responses
  • Serve as the liaison between trial teams and external parties
  • Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Certified Litigation Paralegal in a law firm setting with billable hour requirements.
  • Certification: Paralegal certification required. Valid paralegal certificate must be provided prior to hire.
  • Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, motions, and court rules
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook, E-copy, Westlaw, Automated Forms, and E-Filing
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Work Ethic: Self-starter for a fast-paced litigation practice that is proactive and thrives in a team-oriented environment
  • Nice to Haves: Bilingual language ability; Spanish speaking is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $34 - $40 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, and paid parking
  • Work Environment: Onsite position—remote work is not an option
