Job description

Role Overview:
The Business Analyst will support DTMB and MDOC projects by gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing data, improving processes, and coordinating with stakeholders. This role involves project planning, procurement activities, vendor engagement, and ensuring business/system alignment across initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Business analysis, process modeling, and business process re-engineering.

IT project planning, development, implementation, and RFP drafting.

Project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, SDLC, CMMI).

Strong documentation and requirements gathering (JAD/JAR sessions)

Ability to perform project-level analysis (swim lanes, sequence diagrams, use cases).

Experience in estimation, planning, forecasting, and procurement projects.

Knowledge of application development, programming concepts, data modeling, and system integrations.

Advanced proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Excel, and Visio.

SQL query skills and familiarity with system interfaces.

Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills.

Ability to evaluate alternatives, solve complex problems, and build effective relationships across technical and non-technical groups.

 

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, Systems Analysis, Programming, Information Assurance, IT Project Management, Mathematics, or related field.
