Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Bindery Operator position at our facility in Waterloo, IA.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Determines printing job requirements by reviewing job specifications and assessing requirements for operation completion
  • Sets up and uses various bindery machines for tasks involving sets of printed material, pamphlets, and other finishing operations of business forms and general printing
  • Checks for quality, counts and other operation requirements
  • Input information on computer for job/operation completion
  • Supports shipping operation by wrapping/packing boxes, labeling, and preparing for carrier pickup using shipping software
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a print production facility or shop preferred
  • Experience operating bindery equipment strongly preferred
  • Mathematical aptitude/skills are required and mechanical skills are helpful
  • Must be quality conscious with good organizational skills
  • Able to efficiently follow workflow process to minimize downtime and repeated steps
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

This full-time position would primarily be scheduled to work Monday-Friday from 7am to 3:30pm. Starting hourly base pay between $16-$19 commensurate with experience and the opportunity for two pay increases in your first year!
