Job description

Summary of Responsibilities
Individual will provide guidance and direction to ensure the team meets operational, quality and safety goals on daily basis. Works as a leading member of a manufacturing team and is a direct contact with the on-shift supervisor to provide direction to the production team.
Essential Functions
  • Provides direction and oversight to all personnel working on the line including changeover, sanitization and teardown activities.
  • Ensure machines operate at optimal efficiency, minimizing down time.
  • Function as a back up to supervisor and other positions in the department as assigned.
  • Monitor quality of the products, notifying appropriate personnel of any defects.
  • Ensures that all production reporting and data collection is completed in a timely manner.
  • Look for ways to create continuous improvement.
  • Labor Reporting including building of team, properly selecting labor sequence ID's and DT reporting.
  • Balance labor at the end of the shift to properly account for all activities and personnel active in work order.
  • Manage and provide oversight for RTS activities by shift and work order using End of Shift Reports and Bin Status Reports.
  • Verify and Scan all materials into work orders in time, prior to consumption on the line.
  • Provide Work Order reporting documenting exceptions for materials, maintenance, equipment, quality, etc...
  • Provide daily line audits for safety and quality (documentation, testing, date codes, etc...) to ensure line is in compliance with policy.
  • Provide oversight and sign off for First Articles.
  • Provide daily audits of hourly reports for accuracy and any issues that need to be investigated and resolved.
  • Maintain production standards.
  • Responsible for area housekeeping.
  • Must interact with and support other members of the manufacturing team.
  • Understand and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Skills:
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive tasks including bending, twisting, lifting, sitting or standing.

  • Attention to detail.
