Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at Enrichment Oasis. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting individuals with disabilities in a day support setting, promoting independence, dignity, community engagement, and an enhanced quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to participants during day program activities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Assist individuals with daily living skills such as personal hygiene, communication, and self-care while encouraging independence and choice.
  • Support the implementation of individualized service plans (ISPs) and help participants work toward their personal goals.
  • Facilitate and actively engage participants in structured activities including life skills training, recreational activities, and community outings.
  • Monitor participants’ well-being and promptly report any concerns or changes to supervisors.
  • Encourage social interaction and build positive relationships among participants to foster a supportive environment.
  • Assist with behavior support strategies and promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive setting.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe program environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Provide transportation support for community-based activities and outings, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and caregivers to support continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a structured day program setting
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • Certification in CPR and DSP
