Job description

Duties:

  • Oversee a team of Direct Support Professionals providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure high-quality assistance with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
  • Manage the administration of medications, ensuring all DSPs are trained, prescriptions are filled, and documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Monitor the health and well-being of individuals in the program by regularly reviewing vital sign records and ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly by healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for appointments, community outings, and recreational activities, ensuring all individuals have access to necessary services.
  • Ensure the maintenance of clean and safe environments for individuals, adhering to protocols and conducting regular inspections.
  • Provide guidance to DSPs on offering emotional support and companionship, fostering a compassionate and supportive atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within developmental disability services or home care settings.
