About Us: We are an established architecture and design practice recognized for delivering complex public-sector projects that shape communities and support learning environments. Our team specializes in planning, programming, and architectural design for education-focused facilities, partnering with school districts and public agencies to create innovative, functional spaces that support student success. We pride ourselves on a collaborative culture, technical expertise, and long-standing client relationships across California.


The Position: We are seeking a Project Architect with strong experience in DSA, K-12 and education-focused projects, particularly those governed by Division of the State Architect (DSA) regulations. This role will lead technical design and project coordination efforts while supporting the delivery of high-quality education facilities from design through construction documentation.


The Project Architect will work closely with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure design intent, regulatory compliance, and technical quality across all phases of the project.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and coordination of construction documents for K-12 and education facilities.
  • Ensure project designs comply with DSA requirements, California building codes, and public agency standards.
  • Coordinate closely with consultants including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers.
  • Support project delivery from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Conduct building code analysis and technical research to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Work directly with project managers and leadership to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
  • Participate in client and consultant meetings and incorporate feedback into project documentation.
  • Mentor junior staff and support the coordination of project teams.


What You Need (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 6+ years of architectural experience with a strong focus on construction documentation.
  • Recent DSA project experience required, preferably within K-12 or education facilities.
  • California Architect license is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of California building codes and public agency project requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
