Job description

A Senior Customer Service Field Technician for BOWA Builders plays an important role working closely with clients helping to manage and complete residential remodeling projects from punch-out and warranty work to Customer Service handyman and small project jobs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to diagnose and trouble-shoot construction issues
  • Consistently relay any important information from the client to the Customer Service Production Manager and/or Customer Service Manager(s)
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with Customer Service Production Manager, Customer Service Managers, subcontractors, clients, and others, as necessary
  • Excellent client and company project communication at all stages of work, efficiently and effectively communicate with subcontractors, vendors or others as necessary
  • Complete and manage remodeling punch-out, warranty work and small handyman projects
  • Ability to proficiently perform cabinetry and installation tasks including, but not limited to, cabinet installation, pocket door installation, bath and door hardware installation (Tech Level I)
  • Ability to install stain-grade crown molding, complex custom cabinet installations (including recessed panels), and ability to build drawers (Tech Level II)
  • Ability to complete drywall and paint work as needed
  • Ability to complete minor HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs and other related remodeling trade work as needed
  • Ability to read detailed plans
  • Manage, schedule, complete and oversee project field service work for clients in their homes, including managing subcontractors' schedules, communication and expectations
  • Supervision of jobsite safety, cleanliness, security, and protection from damage during all construction phases
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • There are no supervisory responsibilities with this
Preferred Requirements:
  • Residential construction knowledge with a minimum of 3 years' experience in related types of work and responsibilities
  • Carpentry skills similar to those of a Lead Carpenter: cabinetry, custom molding, framing,
  • Additional knowledge such as: drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing and other related remodeling trade work and working knowledge of remodeling trade installation requirements and techniques
  • Able to complete work unsupervised, as necessary in an orderly and clean fashion
  • Strong communication skills, with regular client interaction
  • Furnish all hand tools and small power tools as necessary to complete job
  • Exhibit superior customer service skills, a customer first attitude and focus, representing the company well being polite and courteous to the client, subcontractors, and co-workers; conducting oneself in a professional manner at all times
  • Analytical ability to diagnose and develop plans for addressing residential construction problems/issues
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid Driver's License and must have reliable transportation, tardiness is not acceptable
Schedule:

Official work week: normally 40 hours per week, usually Monday through Friday as directed by the Customer Service Manager.ย  Overtime and off-hour emergency work is occasionally necessary.
