How much do drywall delivery jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 15, 2026, the average hourly pay for drywall delivery in the United States is $46.36, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $20.43 and $60.58 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is the highest paid delivery job?

For drywall delivery, the highest paid roles typically involve experienced drivers with specialized equipment or routes, such as those working for large construction companies or in regions with high demand. These positions often offer higher wages due to the physical demands, scheduling flexibility, and the need for proper handling of heavy materials. Certifications like commercial driver's licenses (CDL) can also increase earning potential.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Jobs that can pay $2,000 a day typically include specialized roles such as experienced contractors, high-level consultants, or certain construction project managers. These positions often require advanced skills, certifications, or significant experience, and may involve freelance or contract work with high hourly rates or project-based payments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Drywall Delivery position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Drywall Delivery professional, you need good physical strength, a valid driver's license (often CDL for larger trucks), and experience handling construction materials safely. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, and basic inventory software is also valuable. Dependability, attention to detail, and good communication skills help ensure timely and accurate deliveries while working closely with customers and onsite crews. These abilities are essential for maintaining safety, efficiency, and strong professional relationships in a physically demanding logistics environment.

Where do drywallers make the most money?

Drywallers tend to earn higher wages in regions with a strong construction industry and high demand for skilled labor, such as areas experiencing significant commercial or residential development. Factors like experience, certifications, and working for unionized companies can also influence earning potential.

What are the typical daily responsibilities for someone in a Drywall Delivery role?

Drywall Delivery team members typically start their day by reviewing delivery schedules, loading drywall and related materials onto trucks using proper safety equipment, and verifying that loads meet order specifications. Throughout the day, they drive to various construction sites, unload materials safely, and obtain required signatures or documentation from site supervisors. They may also assist in organizing inventory, performing basic truck maintenance checks, and communicating with dispatch or customers to resolve any delivery issues. This role often requires adapting to changing weather, tight deadlines, and different delivery locations, making reliability and flexibility important qualities for success.

What is a Drywall Delivery job?

A Drywall Delivery job involves transporting and delivering drywall and related materials to construction sites, homes, or businesses. Workers in this role load, unload, and sometimes assist in placing the drywall at the job site. It requires physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to operate delivery equipment such as forklifts or boom trucks. Some positions may also involve customer service and inventory management.

How much do drywallers charge hourly?

Drywallers typically charge between $20 and $45 per hour, depending on experience, location, and project complexity. Rates may also vary based on whether the job involves installation, finishing, or repair work, and some drywallers charge by the square foot instead of hourly. Skilled drywallers with certifications and specialized tools may command higher rates.
