Job Title: AI Safety Operator Driver
Location: Austin, TX
Employment Type: Full time
Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd
 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused AI Safety Operator Driver to support technology in real-world ride-sharing scenarios. This role centers on safe vehicle operation, monitoring autonomous systems, engaging with riders, and providing detailed feedback to improve system performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate engineering vehicles equipped with FSD (Supervised), taking control when needed to ensure passenger and public safety.
  • Professionally interact with riders, including greetings, answering questions, and supporting route adjustments.
  • Navigate construction zones, pedestrian-heavy areas, and complex traffic conditions while monitoring system behavior.
  • Complete pre-shift readiness checks (software, sensors, vehicle cleanliness).
  • Maintain exemplary driving behavior and situational awareness at all times.
  • Travel domestically as required to support testing in various environments and weather conditions.
  • Provide insights and feedback to help improve safety processes, data collection, and system performance.
  • Produce detailed daily reports documenting observations, issues, and system behavior.

Requirements.

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong hazard recognition and situational awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with strong PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data tools.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends (15% differential applies).
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to meet safety-sensitive role requirements, including drug testing.
