LOCATION: 600 TRAVIS STREET, HOUSTON, TX 77002

POSITION SUMMARY: Employee in this position is responsible for the continuous monitoring and control of natural gas, natural gas liquids and carbon dioxide through the gathering, transmission and liquid pipeline systems. Ensure each pipeline system is operated safely and efficiently. Position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including customer service, reporting of abnormal operating conditions, responding to alarms per company procedures, emergency response, and event documentation and reporting. Presents a positive and professional image to customers, employees, and the public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, control and regulate flow and pressure on all pipeline systems, utilizing information gathered from the SCADA system.
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions (AOC’s).
  • Serve as the first point of contact from landowners and the public reporting any unusual noises, odors, or right-of-way activity.
  • Acknowledge and respond to alarms received via the SCADA system.
  • Follow applicable procedures in the Control Room Management, O & M, and Emergency Plans.
  • Verbal and written correspondence with internal and external customers.
  • Dispatch local personnel for Emergency One Call line locate requests.
  • Ensure that all receipt and delivery nominations are met within the pipeline’s capability.
  • Communicate closely with the Scheduling Department regarding nominations and imbalances.
  • Provide feedback on procedures to support continuous improvement within the Control Room.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with employees and customers.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check and will be subject to random, for-cause and post-accident drug testing, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

· Professional, self-motivated, and ability to work well in a team environment.

Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under company’s vehicle insurance policy. Must pass pre-employment background check.
