What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Drug Test Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Drug Test Analyst, a solid background in chemistry, laboratory procedures, and a related science degree are typically required. Familiarity with analytical instruments such as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), liquid chromatography, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is essential. These competencies ensure accurate, reliable test results and uphold the integrity of the testing process in compliance-driven environments.

What are some common challenges faced by Drug Test Analysts in ensuring accurate results?

Drug Test Analysts often encounter challenges such as handling a high volume of samples while maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols and minimizing the risk of contamination or human error.
