Security Officer Part Time Screening Associate

As a Security Officer Part Time Screening Associate in Edgerton, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain clear communication, and help deter incidents through a visible, professional presence. Pay Rate: $19.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and vendors at a high-volume technology and media location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with access control requirements, using established screening equipment and procedures.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and nearby business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
