Pay: $23- $30 an hour- Full-time


Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check and MVR check
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a South Carolina Aquatic Pesticide Applicator License
  • 1+ year of experience in lake and pond management, or an applicable undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in the following disciplines is desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or forestry.
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to trailer and operate a skiff, UTV, and kayak

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report to the field supervisor
  • Manage the maintenance of lakes, ponds & other Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs).
  • Identify and treat invasive weeds & aquatic
  • Visual inspection of stormwater components, ponds, and lakes
  • Minor equipment repairs for compliance
  • Improving the overall aesthetics of the sites, Mowing/string trimming sites
  • Travel throughout the greater counties & surrounding areas
  • Handle administrative duties
  • Perform specialty tasks including, but not limited to, fountain and aeration troubleshooting/installation, large-scale treatments & minor pond repairs.
  • Acquire and maintain current certifications as required
