Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking software, and routing platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to stay calm under pressure are key soft skills. Do I need a CDL to be a dispatcher?

A dispatcher, including a Driver Manager Dispatcher role, typically does not need a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) as it involves coordinating and managing drivers and vehicles rather than operating commercial vehicles.
