This position is a full-time remote role, allowing for flexible working hours while primarily engaging with clients via telehealth sessions. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique emotional and psychological needs.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, specifically tailored to help clients cope with aging-related issues and emotional challenges.
• Empower staff and family members of clients by educating them on strategies to promote emotional health and improve the overall quality of life for elderly individuals.
• Provide grief and loss counseling to residents and families, equipping them with tools to navigate end-of-life issues and foster resilience.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
• Utilize telehealth platforms and tools efficiently for conducting virtual sessions, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to confidentiality requirements.

The primary focus of your practice will be elderly clients facing a spectrum of mental health challenges, including those dealing with loss, chronic illness, or significant life changes. Understanding the unique circumstances that accompany aging, you will employ a patient-centered approach to foster trust and rapport, delivering personalized care that meets their emotional and psychological needs.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship within a mental health setting, demonstrating practical experience in counseling.
• Eligibility for professional licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing to facilitate potential client travel as needed.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and connect with clients quickly.
• Proficiency in active listening and assessment skills, alongside a strong attention to detail in documentation and treatment planning.

• Previous experience in geriatric counseling or working with elderly populations is highly desired.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices in virtual communication and client care.
• Expertise in grief counseling and facilitating therapeutic group sessions.

The offered salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus may be available.
