POSITION SUMMARY: The Drilling Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to ensure all processes, special instructions and best practices related to the drilling department as defined by Process Engineering are strictly followed. The Supervisor will also be responsible for assisting the Drilling Manager in managing the day-to-day workflow of the Drilling department including operator scheduling.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Ensure that all processes within the Drilling department are strictly followed.

· Analyze registration data and troubleshoot jobs with related issues. Includes stopping a problem job if necessary.

· Assist the Drilling Manager in managing the workflow and prioritizing the work schedule during the assigned shift.

· Provide daily updates/reports of all department issues to the Drillings Manager and/or Production Control if the Drilling Manager is not available, before leaving for the day.

· Report to the appropriate managers (Drilling Manager, Production Manager, VP of Manufacturing Operations, etc.) and Process Engineers, any problems that could affect the quality and delivery of the product.

· Perform inspections to make sure that all tools and equipment are in good working order.

· Promptly report and follow-up on any equipment malfunction to the maintenance department. Assist in the resolution if appropriate.

· Provide training to both existing and new employees within the Drilling Department and properly document the training in the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).

· Monitor processes, operators, physical conditions, etc. to make sure that safety rules are followed.

· Prevent scrap whenever possible.

· Monitor department resources to maximize productivity.

  • Work extended hours base on company needs and be available for after hour emergency calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 6-8 years experience in the Printed Circuit Board industry, specifically related to Wet Process.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory position and ability to manage the smooth running of a department.
  • Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
  • Must have hands on experience and knowledge in Drilling, Vision Drilling, Controlled Depth Drilling, Xact & Fastech software systems, operation of Pluritech X-ray Drill, De-burring and Plasma.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all times.
  • Ability to continuously cross train employees and maintain current training records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (ProCim).
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours base on the need of the department and company.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: 75K - 100K per year
