Position Summary
The Manager, Human Resources will lead and manage all core HR functions while serving as a strategic business partner to leadership. This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support organizational goals, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive workplace culture. The position oversees talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR operations, and workforce planning.
Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with business priorities.
  • Advise management on HR policies, employee relations, and organizational change.
  • Lead workforce planning and talent strategy.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure timely and effective hiring.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiters and talent partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters.
  • Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
  • Oversee performance management, goal setting, and review cycles.
  • Manage compensation programs ensuring pay equity and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend compensation adjustments.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy and compliance with wage and hour laws.
  • Administer benefits programs and address employee inquiries.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Manage HRIS, reporting, and people analytics.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Candidates with 10 to 12 years of progressive Human Resource Experience preferable within steel, mining, heavy industry, energy or large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of US employment laws and HR best practices.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree or professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.

Salary Range:
  • $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
