Job Description

Overview:

The Development Coordinator supports the Southern California Development housing team in the planning, administration, and delivery of residential communities. This position provides coordination and administrative support for Department of Real Estate (DRE) processing, homeowner association (HOA) administration, and development operations. The primary focus of this role is management and coordination of DRE filings and documentation for residential communities throughout Southern California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support DRE filings for pink, conditional, and final reports

  • Track DRE submission schedules and approval milestones.

  • Coordinate collection of required documents from internal teams and external consultants.

  • Maintain DRE filing checklists and approval logs.

  • Monitor report expiration dates and amendment requirements.

  • Assist Project Management with DRE-related requests.

  • Process project-related invoices for the Development team.

  • Support vendor setup.

  • Process check requests.

  • Coordinate FHA / VA approvals.

  • Assist with permit, utility, and consultant tracking.

  • Perform research and special projects as assigned.

  • Coordinate quarterly bond report updates with the Corporate team.

  • Notarize documents as needed.

What You'll Bring:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Planning, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Experience working with databases, project management systems, or document management systems.

  • Notary commission or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
