Role Overview: 
Reporting to the Founder and CEO, the VP of Operations, will manage the daily logistics, administrative functions, and facility operations for a sports team, league, or facility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and athletic policies, working closely with coaches and executives. Experience in sports management is preferable. 
 

As the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for: 

This position requires a dynamic, business development-oriented, strategic leader who will ensure the successful management and delivery of multiple sports programs (such as, but not limited to, baseball, soccer, volleyball, etc.), team acquisition and development, all while building for scale. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 
 

Strategic Leadership and Management: 

  • Day-to-Day Logistics: Manage team travel, game-day logistics, and daily administrative functions. 

  • Facility/Venue Operations: Oversee maintenance, scheduling, and safety protocols for sports facilities. Transition new facilities and acquisitions.  

  • Budget & Finance: Develop and administer program budgets, including controlling equipment and supply costs. 

  • Staff Coordination: Hire, train, and supervise event personnel and support staff. 

  • Liaison/Communication: Work with coaches, athletes, sponsors, media, and external agencies to ensure smooth operation of programs. 

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with league regulations, safety standards, and risk management protocols. 

Business Development & Growth: 

  • Acquisition of Teams and Facilities. Identify and pursue new revenue streams, partnerships, sponsorships, and expansion opportunities. 

  • Work with the VP of Sales and Marketing to optimize Revenue, including programs, facilities and other avenues. 

 
Qualifications Required: 

 
Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Proven experience in business development, revenue generation, and brand building. 

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in developing, leading, and scaling multi-layered B2C (Business to Consumer) businesses. Experience working with sports, fitness, or athletic development organizations a plus. 

  • Experience in scaling a business. A track record of success in managing multi-location operations and large teams is a plus. 

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage key stakeholders, from parents and athletes to investors and media. 

  • Strong understanding of youth athlete development, collegiate recruiting, and professional sports pathways is a plus. 

 
Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Sports Management, or similar. (Master’s degree preferred). 

  • Leadership certifications from recognized bodies a plus.
