Job Title: Regional/District Head Mechanic & Technician

Department: Facility Operations

Reports to: Senior Regional Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide our customers with an outstanding racing experience by maintaining our racing karts at the highest possible standard. To ensure that all mechanics perform their duties safely and thoroughly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must be able to travel nationwide to our various facilities

Must be able to work weekends

· Responsible for overseeing more than four districts

· Ensure that all mechanics are trained to perform their duties safely and thoroughly

· Ensure that kart performance is maintained to company standards for all locations

· Ensure that track and facility appearance and functionality is maintained

· Ensure that accurate documentation of repairs, parts inventory, and special projects is kept

· Ensure that Mechanics at all locations are responsibly maintaining supply of tools and machinery

· Respond to emergency situations as they arise

· Ensure that the pit, kart shop and track areas remain clean and safe

· Assist the track crew with track operations in limited situations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Ability to effectively communicate with Regional Managers and location Managers to ensure that Mechanic staff are adhering to their job functions

· Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

· Ability to deal with and solve practical problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

· Exceptional leadership, training, and problem solving skills

· Time management and multi-tasking qualities are highly desirable

· Computer and inventory control skills are a must

· At least 75% travel required within the US

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years related experience.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with and solve practical problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a working knowledge of motorcycles, autos, or electric golf carts.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Spanish is a plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, and percentages.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a supervisory position. It is the responsibility of the Regional Head Mechanic & Technician to ensure that all aspects of kart and facility maintenance are performed correctly.
