Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy assessments and treatments to patients in the NICU.
  • Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage neonatal respiratory equipment, including Draeger ventilators.
  • Float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses as needed.
  • Perform respiratory therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment interventions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient education efforts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a NICU setting or equivalent acute care experience.
  • Must possess a valid CRT or RRT credential with state of Connecticut licensure.
  • Experienced with Draeger ventilators and high-frequency ventilators.
  • Current BLS certification required; NRP and PALS preferred.
  • Travel experience required and level II trauma experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in EPIC charting system with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
