Job description

Title:ย ย  Dive Maintenance Tech III / Supply Database Specialist /Personal Property Custodian III

Clearance Type:ย ย  Secretย 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):ย 

  • Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAVย Instruction 4790 scheduled in 3M for all open circuit items including SCUBAย tanks, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen charging booster pumps andย kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, buoyancy compensators, surfaceย swim life preservers, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwaterย communications equipment, full face diving masks, Diving Life Supportย Systems (DLSS) associated equipment and NAVSEA Certified Life Supportย Systems.ย 
  • Process requests, maintain records, and manage the issue, turn-in, gain, andย loss of capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables (OPCON)ย assigned to Dive Division.ย 
  • Conducts monthly inventories, bi-annual inventories, and annual inventoriesย of gear managed in ELMS/DPAS.ย 
  • Investigates and process paperwork for missing, lost, stolen or damagedย property.ย 
  • Assists with customer service, issue turn-in, issue, lost, stolen, and/orย damaged documents (DD Form 1149, DD Form 1150, DD Form 1348, DDย Form 200) and receipt of diving equipment. Check and track dive equipmentย requests on NIPR/SIPR network and assist in procuring and issuing diveย equipment with representatives.ย 
  • Maintains access and complete required training to manage inventories withinย the command Accountability Property System Record (APSR) through ELMS/DPASย programs.ย 
  • Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5343 /ย M2DV,ย USCG OPSDB or higher).ย 
  • Minimum five yearsโ€™ experience as a certified 5343ย /ย M2DV,ย USCG OPSDBย or higherย diver.ย 
  • Qualification as a Maintenance & Material Management (3M)ย 
  • Maintenance Person, 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman, and 3Mย Work Center Supervisor.ย 
  • Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).ย 
  • Possess factory trained certification for diving equipment withinย inventory, DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, andย Oxygen Clean System Worker.ย ย 
  • Minimum of Three (3) years NSW experience.ย 
  • Able to operate forklift up to 6,000 lb. capacity.
