Job Description

 The Retail Warehouse Order Filler is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing merchandise for shipment or transfer according to customer orders, sales slips, or other instructions. This role ensures timely and precise fulfillment of orders without the use of forklifts, focusing on manual handling and organization of goods.

About Denali National Park & Preserve and Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture:  

Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road-4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks. 

Doyon Limited and Aramark have teamed up in a Joint Venture as the Denali National Park & Preserve's Concessionaire. Open May to September, our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; The National Park Service. By road, our 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet takes guests past the 15-mile public access point daily during summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp where few people have set foot. 

This is a seasonal role with ideal dates of April 30 - September 25, 2026.

Employees are responsible for knowing the environmental aspects and associated impacts of their job position.  Job specific Environmental Aspects and Impacts will be communicated by Dept. Managers during EMS training. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Pick and pack finished goods from inventory based on order specifications. 
  • Verify accuracy of items selected and ensure proper packaging for shipment or transfer. 
  • Performs transfers or products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse
  • Responsible for receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damage to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise
  • Perform physical inventory as needed
  • Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Follow company safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area. 
  • Maintain accurate records of outgoing orders. 
  • Report low stock levels or shortages to the supervisor promptly. 
  • Requisition additional stock as needed to meet demand.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products to retail locations and pick up merchandise as needed. 
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company standards. 
  • Maintain delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures for proof of delivery. 
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

    Previous warehouse experience preferred
    Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
    Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
    Basic math and counting skills required
    Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs
    Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
    Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
