Job description:

Downtown Spirits is searching for energetic, friendly, hard-working and driven individuals to join our team in either a full-time (approx. 32- 40 hrs/wk) or a part-time position (approx. 20 - 32 hrs/wk) each start at $20.76 per hr + tips, with full-time having access to health, dental and life insurance after 60 days of employment.

As a team member at this small, tech forward retail business you’ll work to support our in-store operations and develop skills alongside a team of experienced beer, wine, and spirits professionals. Responsibilities:

- Provide friendly, knowledgeable and personalized customer service

- Engage with customers and maintain a welcoming environment for shoppers that reflects Downtown Spirits' commitment to our customers

- Practice effective selling techniques to increase sales

- Receive incoming deliveries from vendors

- Create a lasting positive impression of you and Downtown Spirits

- Develop product knowledge and stay current on new items

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Downtown Spirits' products, services and systems

- Cashier and accurately handle POS transactions

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures

- Maintain a tidy, organized and well-merchandise retail space

- Work cooperatively with co-workers in a team-based environment

- Develop a loyal customer base

Qualifications:

- Over 21 years of age- Customer service and retail experience

- Experience working with POS Systems

- MAST (Class 12) Permit certified; must receive permit within 30 days of hire

- Valid WA State Department of Health Food Handlers Permit, or willing to receive permit

- Available to work any day of the week

- Flexible schedule

- A background in spirits, wine, and/or beer is strongly preferred

The best candidates will have retail experience and a strong focus on customer service. They will exhibit a hard-working, flexible, and positive attitude. Weekend availability is a requirement.
