Houseperson - Housekeeping
DoubleTree by Hilton South Bend Downtown

As a Houseperson, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Housekeeping team by maintaining the cleanliness of public areas, guest corridors, and service spaces while ensuring our team has everything they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest hallways, elevators, stairwells, and public areas.
  • Stock and deliver linens, amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and other guest requests promptly.
  • Support Room Attendants by removing trash, collecting soiled linens, and assisting with heavy lifting.
  • Vacuum guest corridors and maintain housekeeping storage areas and linen closets.
  • Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards to management immediately.
  • Handle Lost & Found items according to hotel procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized Housekeeping office and back-of-house areas.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Help create memorable guest experiences through friendly, professional service.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for certain duties.
