Job Description

What You Will Contribute:

  • Build and evolve high performance, architecturally sound, and scalable systems to support the current and future demands on our robust ecommerce platform.
  • Partner with your self-organizing agile team members and your product owner (PO) to translate business needs into workable technology solutions with minimal technical debt.
  • High quality work in both the front end and back end development spaces of our florist applications, automation framework, or other technology areas as needed.
  • Guidance to rapidly grow less experienced team members via mentorship and coaching including team in our India office.
  • Interact closely with the business, engineering peers, and leadership to understand the business objectives and provide technical and non-technical solutions to business problems.
  • Help us serve our florist customers by build a better technical solution for them.

Qualifications

What we seek:

  • 3-5 years of software development experience
  • Background in Microsoft .NET environment using C#, MFC / C++.
  • Experience in consuming and writing Web Services and Web applications
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS & Reporting Services
  • Knowledge in writing stored procedures and views.
  • Strong team player yet self-motivated and able to make progress with limited direction
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Retail systems experience such as Point-of-sale systems
  • Familiarity with automated unit testing
  • Experience working in enterprise development environment using version control
  • Experience with Continuous Integration - Continuous Deployment
  • Willingness to work in support rotation and communicate across teams
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • BS computer science or related degree / experience.
