Job description

Leidos is seeking a Software Developer in support of NASA's National Security Systems team. This role is responsible for full-stack development, maintaining and developing web portals supporting case management and team site portals that support the security posture of networks, servers, endpoints, and other systems. This position requires the ability to work independently with general direction. Join us at AEGIS where the sky is NOT the limit!
Primary Responsibilities:
The Software Developer will:
  • The full-stack web developer will maintain and develop existing websites and applications supporting case management and NSS Team site workflows.
    • This includes assessments and consultations on the design of C#, vue.js, javescript, bootstrap, .net framework, .net 10.0, Sql Server, Sql Scripting, Java web tools, Microsoft Visual Studio web projects, applications, server management, and development of new applications.
  • Work closely with the project manager, development team, information system security manager; however, the Sponsor project manager will manage the priorities.
  • Provide occasional on-call duty as needed.
  • Assess and validate software requirements across the organization.
  • Provide architectural design and web development support to meet web application requirements.
  • Participate in software design discussions and recommend implementation of the tools, technologies and techniques.
  • Redesign the existing Web, Software applications to add new features, optimize, scale or improve stability and performance.
  • Provide O&M and content management support for Sponsor's Web, software sites.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated full-stack development experience, including developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and systems.
  • Proven ability to identify and validate requirements for software applications and websites.
  • Working knowledge of virtual architectures and environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to add new features, optimize and scale applications, and improve application and web performance and stability.
  • Proficiency with C#, .NET Framework, .NET, and ASP.NET MVC.
  • Experience with Vue.js, JavaScript, Bootstrap, SQL Server, SQL scripting, Java web tools, Git version control, Microsoft Visual Studio web projects, IIS, application and server management, and new application development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of the following areas:
  • Software application development.
  • Web development and IIS.
  • Programming with HTML.
  • Developing and administering Windows based applications.
  • Experience with customer applications at this location, to include the case management system and work process management systems.
  • UI/UX expertise, CSS frameworks (Material, Bootstrap, etc.)
  • Expert proficiency with software design patterns and best practices.
  • Self-starter, works under limited guidance and well with ambiguity.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, test-driven development, object-oriented solid development foundation.

Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance; Top Secret clearance preferred.
