Job description

Temco Logistics is seeking a skilled and dependable CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to join our team! In this role, you'll operate a flatbed tractor-trailer to deliver a variety of home improvement supplies-including drywall, building materials, and lumber-to customer sites. You'll be the face of Temco, fostering strong customer relationships through a positive, professional attitude while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
This is a local delivery position-you'll be home daily with early morning routes, making it ideal for those who enjoy physical work and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate flatbed trucks to deliver building materials to residential and commercial sites.
  • Load and unload freight manually or using equipment such as forklifts or Moffett's; ensure all cargo is properly secured.
  • Complete deliveries according to route schedule while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and DOT compliance.
  • Accurately maintain delivery logs, paperwork, and communication with dispatch.
    Deliver outstanding service by communicating effectively with customers and store staff.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Valid Class A CDL license.
  • 2-5 years of recent, verifiable CDL A driving experience.
  • At least 1 year of flatbed experience required.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules to meet operational needs, including every Saturday.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to pass a DOT urine drug screen and physical agility test.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs and unload freight manually.
  • Clean criminal background check.
  • No drug/alcohol tests failed while holding a CDL A license (NO SAP participants).
  • Excellent driving record: no major violations in the last 12 months and no more than 2 in the past 3 years.
  • Forklift certification or Moffett experience is a huge plus!
