Job Summary: The Repair Associate is responsible for providing repair, maintenance, and service support for millwork products, including windows, doors, trim, hardware, and related building materials. This role diagnoses issues, performs quality repairs, and delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Repair & Service
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair millwork products including doors, windows, trim, hardware, and related building materials.
  • Perform adjustments, replacements, and corrective repairs to ensure products function properly and meet quality expectations.
  • Complete warranty and service work in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines.
  • Identify product defects, installation issues, or damage and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, service calls, and materials used.
Customer Service
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair needs, service timelines, and resolution options.
  • Respond to customer concerns and service requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and effective problem resolution.
  • Educate customers on proper product use, maintenance, and care when appropriate.
Inventory & Equipment Management
  • Maintain service tools, equipment, and repair materials in good working condition.
  • Monitor inventory of repair parts and supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly.
Safety & Quality
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Ensure all repairs meet company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training as required.
Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, delivery, and vendor partners to resolve product and service issues.
  • Assist with other warehouse, yard, delivery, or millwork-related duties as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in millwork, carpentry, construction, woodworking, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience repairing and adjusting doors, windows, or other building materials preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of millwork products, construction materials, and repair techniques preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely and effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete service documentation accurately.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Regularly works in warehouse, shop, customer jobsite, and outdoor environments.
  • Frequently stands, walks, bends, kneels, reaches, and climbs ladders.
  • Regularly lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance.
  • Must be able to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and construction environments.
  • May require occasional travel to customer locations within the service area.
