Job description

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In Gardner, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.)

We are growing and seeking a Door Shop Fabricator!

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the precise fabrication of interior and exterior doors and door frames, ensuring all products meet our quality standards and specifications. In addition, the role includes general warehouse responsibilities such as material receiving, handling, and storage to support the efficient flow of architectural building products through our facility.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and experience operating woodworking and fabrication equipment
  • Familiarity with architectural building materials and products is highly preferred
  • Forklift certification or prior experience in a lumber yard/distribution center is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do:

  • Fabricate interior and exterior door assemblies and frames to exacting standards using equipment such as table saws, routers, chop saws, and pneumatic tool
  • Inspect all products during fabrication for quality assurance and compliance with specifications
  • Support logistics by safely loading and securing materials for delivery, ensuring alignment with shipping documentation
  • Receive, inspect, and organize inbound materials in accordance with warehouse procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and warehouse audits
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions
  • Safely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 100 lbs. with team assistance

This role is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to routine drug screenings.
