Job description

Are you experienced in building pre-hung doors or working in a door shop or millwork environment? Alliance Door Products is looking for a skilled Door Shop Technician who can step in and contribute right away, assembling interior and exterior door units.

This is not an entry-level role—we’re looking for someone with hands-on door assembly or closely related millwork experience.

WAGE: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

HOURS: Full-time Monday-Friday - 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble interior and exterior pre-hung door units to specification
  • Cut and size jambs based on the net unit and slab dimensions
  • Hand jambs correctly and stage for assembly
  • Build single and double door units, including sidelites when required
  • Measure, cut, and apply brickmould
  • Operate door shop machinery and tools to machine components
  • Read and execute detailed work orders accurately
  • Ensure proper gaps, alignment, and overall door quality standards
  • Stage completed products for shipment

Required Experience:

  • Basic analytical, reasoning, and math (including fractions) skills
  • Previous door shop or pre-hung door assembly experience strongly preferred
  • Millwork or carpentry background (doors, frames, trim, cabinetry)
  • Proven ability to read work orders and build to specification
  • Understanding of door unit sizing, layout, and industry standards
  • Experience assembling double doors and complex units is a plus

Tools & Equipment:

  • Experience with door shop equipment preferred: door machines, routers, nail guns
  • Familiarity with saws (chop, table, rip) and pneumatic tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand (8-9 hrs per day), walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Able to regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift items up to 70 pounds.
  • Able to participate in team lifts for objects between 70 and 150 pounds.
  • Maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds.
