Role Description
As a Paul Donnelly State Farm Agent Team Member, you will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote State Farm products, including home, auto, health and life insurance. This role is focused on identifying customer needs, educating them on coverage options, and marketing products that provide security and value.
 
Responsibilities and Expected Behaviors
  • Sales and Marketing: Prospect, quote, and sell Property & Casualty (P&C), Health and Life insurance products to new and existing customers.
  • Customer Focused: Educate clients on coverage, handle inquiries and manage renewals.
  • Lead Generation: Develop leads, schedule appointments, and market appropriate products and services (including building relationships with local businesses like realtors, apartment complex managers and small business owners).
  • Relationship Management: Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including handling inquiries and policy renewals.
  • Process and Procedures: Consistently follow all State Farm Processes and Procedures.
  • Practice Absolute Transparency: Disclose all policy exclusions, deductibles, and limitations clearly to clients before they sign.
  • Document Every Interaction: Maintain accurate records and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner (usually within 24 hours).
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborate respectfully with team members and support agency goals.
  • High Integrity: Must be honest and consistently adhere to strong moral and ethical principles, even when no one is watching.
Requirements
  • Licensing: Property & Casualty license (Required) and Life & Health license (or ability to obtain).
  • Sales Experience: Proven ability to sell, preferably in insurance or in a similar industry.  Minimum two years of experience in sales; preferably in P&C and life insurance.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software to manage client information.
  • Education: High School Diploma; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
 Compensation: $35,000 - $80,000 per year (Base + Commission/Bonus)
