Job description

Overview

Assist in the safe and proper performance of production and/or warehouse workers to ensure optimum quality production at efficient cost.
Responsibilities
Primary Accountabilities:
  • Supervise and lead employees in their areas of responsibility
  • Be responsible for operation of line and area when assigned
  • Communicate with maintenance and management of any issues with equipment and escalate as needed.
  • Manage employee work schedules.
  • Advise Shift Supervisor of any production changes requiring increased or decreased staffing
  • Enforce the timekeeping policy and report any deviations to the shift supervisor.
  • Provide quick and timely feedback to immediate supervisor on all exceptions regarding productivity, downtime, quality, recovery, cost, and safety.
  • Adhere to all company policies
  • Enforce safety protocols and report all safety violations to shift supervisor.
  • Other duties that are reasonable associated with the above essential functions of the job

Supervisory Duties:
  • Number of employees may vary from 5 to 50.

Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:
  • Must be able to effectively lead others
  • Must be able to accept and give direction
  • Must be able to coach and train employees in their assigned jobs
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple directives from management
  • Must, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with co-workers, supervisor and management
  • Excellent oral and written communication with strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic working PC skills especially Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to promote accountability via formal and informal feedback to team members and Supervisor.
  • Able to understand, communicate and train others to theory of operations for all production equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to meet productivity goals.
Education & Certification:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours on concrete and/or metal grating.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 60 lbs. on frequent basis.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms below shoulder level to above shoulder level
  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 40-47 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Requires climbing, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, lifting and other physical movements to perform job.
Work Environment:
  • Will be exposed to cold temperatures in an Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures

  • None
