We are looking for a Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lagoon Ranch. Position Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Landscaper to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the resort through landscaping, groundskeeping, and maintenance duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for guests and associates while supporting the overall operation of the resort.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions listed below. Other duties may be assigned, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance

  • Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns using hand, power, push, and riding equipment.
  • Plant, water, fertilize, mulch, and maintain flowers, shrubs, bushes, trees, and other landscaping features.
  • Remove weeds, dead plants, leaves, debris, and other unwanted growth to preserve the health and appearance of landscaped areas.
  • Trim hedges, shrubs, and tree limbs, including removing branches damaged by weather conditions.
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other approved treatments in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Maintain ponds, decorative landscape features, and common area grounds.
  • Ensure resort grounds consistently meet company curb appeal and presentation standards.

Resort Maintenance & Cleanliness

  • Perform routine groundskeeping and minor maintenance repairs throughout the resort, including rental units, facilities, streets, and common areas.
  • Complete site inspections and condition checklists before and after guest occupancy.
  • Pick up trash and debris from common areas, streets, and dog parks; empty trash receptacles as needed.
  • Clean and maintain resort amenities, including clubhouses, offices, restrooms, bathhouses, laundry facilities, maintenance buildings, pools, playgrounds, and recreational areas.
  • Inspect playgrounds, recreational amenities, and common areas to identify hazards and complete minor repairs as needed.
  • Ensure resort streets, sidewalks, and public access areas are clean, safe, and free of hazards.

Equipment & Safety

  • Operate and maintain landscaping and maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
  • Maintain resort vehicles and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
  • Monitor and maintain pool and spa chemical levels where applicable.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment, handling chemicals, and performing assigned duties.
  • Safely operate company vehicles when transporting supplies or traveling throughout the resort.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support resort operations with special projects and seasonal maintenance activities.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, maintenance, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment, including lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and weed trimmers.
  • Knowledge of lawn care, irrigation, pest control, and basic landscape maintenance practices.
  • Basic maintenance and repair skills preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
