Two Positions Available: High School Principal

Location: Northern Valley Regional High School District
                  (1)  NV - Demarest
                  (1)  NV - Old Tappan
           



The Northern Valley Regional High School District, consistently recognized as a leader in educational excellence, is seeking two dynamic and visionary Principals to lead each NV-Demarest High School and NV-Old Tappan High School-two of the top-ranked high schools in New Jersey.

 

Qualifications:

 
  • NJ DOE Principal certificate required;

  • Proven experience in educational leadership at the high school level;

  • Experience in a high-performing school district preferred;

  • Experience in teaching (minimum of 5 years); and 

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

 

Desirable Leadership Characteristics:

 
  • A visionary leader with a proven track record of driving school improvement and innovation;

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of technology, budget, program evaluation, data analysis, staff development, and school improvement;

 
  • A strong knowledge base of Instructional Pedagogy and 1:1 Technology Integration;

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with students, staff, parents, and community to achieve educational goals;

  • Experience in collaborative decision-making and building a positive school culture; 

  • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and build meaningful partnerships; and

  • Familiar with teacher/administrator evaluation requirements.

  Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead the development and implementation of the school's strategic vision aligned with district goals;

  • Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff to ensure instructional excellence;

  • Promote innovative teaching practices;

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community; 

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations; 

  • Manage school operations, including budget planning, facility management, and scheduling; and

  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and high-achieving school culture;
