Mortonย  Community Unit School District 709, which includes theย  communities of Morton and Groveland, is seeking a highlyย  qualified individual for Morton Junior High School Principal.ย  ย  ย  ย ย  ย  This vacancy is due to the advancement of the current principalย  to an Administrative position in a nearby district.ย  ย ย  ย  District 709 has listed the following qualifications forย  candidates.ย  ย ย  ย 
Candidates must:ย  ย  ย 
Possess an Illinois Type 75 Administrativeย  certificate.ย  ย 
ย  Have completed a minimum of two years of administrativeย  experience (preferred)ย  ย 
ย  ย  Have demonstrated successful experience as a classroomย  teacher.ย  ย 
ย  Possess the ability to work cooperatively with theย  Superintendent, Administrative Team, and Board of Education.ย  ย 
ย  ย  Be a team player with successful problem solvingย  skills.ย  ย 
ย  Have the ability to communicate clearly andย  effectively.ย  ย 
ย  Possess the ability to work collaboratively with students,ย  parents, teachers and administrative team members.ย  ย 
ย  Have some experience working with special needs studentsย  as well as students at the elementary level.ย  ย 
ย  Possess strong interpersonal skills.ย  ย 
ย  Possess knowledge of curriculum.ย  ย 
ย  Possess knowledge of the middle school concept.ย  ย 
ย  ย  Be an accomplished planner with strong organizationalย  skills.ย  ย 
ย  Be fair, honest, ethical, and have a good sense ofย  humor.ย  ย 
ย  Recognize the role of technology in promoting studentย  learning and professional growth.ย  ย 
ย  ย  Have experience using technology, telecommunications andย  information systems to enrich curriculum and instruction.ย  ย 
ย  ย  Possess a record of goal achievements (Portfolio).ย  ย
