What you'll do

The Area Vice President (AVP), Enterprise Sales - DACH role is pivotal to the success of the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for both the day to day leadership of the DACH Enterprise function as well as the strategic direction of the segment.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the VP, DACH Sales

Responsibility
  • Win new Enterprise clients and logos with the support of marketing, sales engineering, and business development

  • Create, direct, and drive new business campaigns across the region

  • Assist the team in creating and executing on complex deals that create business value and ROI for the customer

  • Participate in closing deals with target Enterprise accounts and driving Enterprise business initiatives for future regional success

  • Attract, hire, and retain the best talent for the Enterprise Sales team

  • Build and develop a high-performing team through use of data and operational rigor (close rates, pipeline coverage, time to close, win rates, forecasting, etc)

  • Develop and maintain executive and senior-level client relationships

  • Represent our customers' product needs through various internal and external forums

  • Support Docusign's various Resell, Strategic, and Systems Integrator partners

  • Manage sales opportunities together with Partners, Strategic and Systems Integrator partners, and Resellers in the region

  • Collaborate with business partners across Solutions Consulting, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, Business Development, and Partners to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategy

  • Ensure achievement of the various quarterly pipeline, bookings, and retention goals set for the region

  • Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels

  • Prioritize the successful implementation of Docusign platform and services into our customer base

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • BA/BS degree in a business or technical-related field

  • Fluency in German and English

  • 15+ years of experience in field sales management at a senior leadership level within a matrixed sales environment in the enterprise software industry

  • Experience consistently exceeding quota and revenue goals

  • Experience selling to enterprise-level customers with established C-suite relationships

  • Experience driving and accelerating team performance through metric management and dashboards

  • Experience with forecasting and reporting

  • Experience in leading, attracting, retaining, and developing high-performing talent through assessment, selection, onboarding, coaching, and development

  • Experience with Salesforce or other contact center management systems

Preferred

  • Relentless focus on customer success

  • Experience managing and growing Enterprise sales teams

  • Ability to create and implement strategic sales plans and drive their implementation

  • Experience creating and driving strategic and transformational country and regional initiatives

  • Clear understanding of software and/or cloud solutions

  • Experience managing multi-tiered customer relationships and a demonstrated ability to coach and mentor

  • Competitive, optimistic, strong work ethic, humility, and excellent communication skills
