Job description

Position Summary: 

• This assistant will report to the Retort Supervisor and is responsible for  completing all duties and tasks assigned to them.  

• Creating shelf stable product for our valued customers.  

Essential Job Duties: 

• Regular worksite attendance. 

• Pressure cooking product for commercial sterilization 

• Load and unload baskets into retort machine 

• Maintain accurate documentation 

• Assist in cooking process as needed under supervision of Retort Supervisor • Assist in verifying retort process by completing paperwork required for filing.  • Other duties as assigned, includes assisting in various production areas on an as  needed basis.  

Minimum Position Qualifications: 

• Must be able to read and understand technical instructions 

• Detail orientated person required for this position  

• Ability to complete tasks in timely manner 

• Capable of lifting/pushing 40+ lbs. 

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching 

• Must always wear personal protective equipment  

• Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
