· Review consultation requests and verify special instructions with the radiologist as needed · Obtain and document patient history for correlation with CT examinations · Ensure billing codes accurately match completed exams · Begin, end, and document procedures according to department standards · Accommodate urgent and add-on CT requests as required · Greet patients professionally, confirm identification, and explain procedures to patients and families · Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self per established safety standards · Perform routine CT procedures in accordance with established protocols · Evaluate scans for technical quality and accurate anatomical visualization · Demonstrate full working knowledge of CT equipment and imaging systems · Perform preventive safety inspections and report equipment issues to leadership · Recognize emergency situations and initiate appropriate response, including CPR or first aid · Complete follow-up documentation related to contrast reactions, extravasations, and safety tracking tools · Assist radiologists with CT-guided drainages and biopsies · Verify patient consent and understanding of risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up care · Prepare and administer contrast media per department policies · Review required lab values prior to contrast administration and interventional procedures · Maintain aseptic technique and properly label and handle multidose containers · Demonstrate IV competency · Stock, monitor, and report supply levels, including shortages and special-order items · Maintain a clean, organized work environment · Complete and maintain daily equipment logs · Utilize radiology software systems including Novius, Invision, document scanning tools, and Scheduling.com · Order patient exams in Invision when necessary · Seek continuing education opportunities and share new knowledge with team members · Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with special assignments Requirements
