Job description

Large digital imaging company seeks Document Scanning Operator for 1st Shift who will be responsible for scanning and processing documents and records. 


*Candidate will also be responsible for providing BASIC troubleshooting/technical support for various devices in the facility.
**Will be asked to occasionally support secondarily facility in Richmond, VA

Hours - Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

 

Document Prep:

  • Registration of documents received
  • Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, clips, rubber bands, or any type of bindings.
  • Use a handheld scanner to scan the box barcode.
  • Flag oversized documents for wide-format scanning.
  • Flag undersized documents that may need special handling

Scanning:

  • Operate high-speed scanning equipment to convert paper documents to digital formats.
  • Perform visual quality checks on each image to ensure it meets required criteria 
  • Convert scanned documents, microfilm, and microfiche to digital formats.
  • Ensure scanned images are indexed

Physical Demands:

  • Minimal to moderate physical effort required. Moving boxes and loading paper into machines will be required. Project prep and scanning work will require finger dexterity and movement between machines.

Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma required.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a Customer Service environment.
  • Data entry work experience (Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk preferred but not required).
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs.
  • Familiarity with administrative duties is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
