Job description

Our client is a Top Tier Law Firm and have an immediate opening in their Fort Lauderdale office for a full-time Legal Assistant with 5+ years of experience in litigation. This position provides high-level secretarial and administrative support to multiple attorneys. Assists attorneys in preparing and defending cases in federal and state courts from onset through post-trial; document production and management, obtaining and organizing case files on a daily basis; preparing, organizing and maintaining deposition materials and summaries; assisting with trial and mediation preparations; assist with document production including creation and editing of correspondence and documents.
Ideal candidate must have keen attention to detail including effective proof reading and drafting skills, demonstrated multi-tasking skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with others against deadlines. Effective time management and communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary. Expertise in e-filing in state and federal court is required. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
