Document Processor II - Bankrupcty Department - Hybrid

Full time; Non-Exempt; 40 hours/week; Overtime as required.

Location; Lake Zurich, IL, US


Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (“Dovenmuehle”) is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide.

General Description:

Ensures all foreclosure and bankruptcy documents are prepared correctly for execution by signers and notaries.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Review foreclosure and bankruptcy documents to verify correct verbiage, accurate dates, figures, and facts, resolving issues in a self-directed manner.

• Ensure printed backup documents (note, mortgage, assignment, print screens, corporate resolutions, prior recorded foreclosure documents) are consistent with the source foreclosure documents.

• Ensure there are no errors in the source documents, including verification of correct dates, percentages, and dollar amounts.

• Confirm corporate resolution has identified an appropriate signer.

• Error-free documents should be tabbed/tagged for easy identification for signers.

• Documents with errors should be timely returned to the assigned attorney for corrections.

• Submit documents for review and execution.

• Scan documents to imaging system and update servicing system before submitting them to attorney and closing file.

• Update daily log with file completion information.

• Meet or exceed monthly volume goals and KPI expectations.

• Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Department Specific/Position Specific:

  • Pull daily notification report from for all new bankruptcy filings from the previous business day. Report must be reviewed daily for possible set up of the bankruptcy workstation.
  • After reviewing report follow steps on the bankruptcy setup and day two procedure desk references.
  • Pull daily foreign national notification report from Epic/AACER for all new bankruptcy filings the previous business day for privale client.
  • Follow up with bankruptcy attorney on bankruptcy filings shortly after foreclosure sale,
  • Monitor Bankruptcy Setup proxy – emails between firms regarding filings, issues, and questions during initial setup
  • Docket notification from Epic/AACER. Review and work dockets identified as setup dockets to include restatements.
  • Desktop and MSP maintenance during loan transfers and firm transfers.
  • Final review in desktop for loans leaving bankruptcy for restarting of foreclosure

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong PC skills, including all Microsoft applications.

• Good math aptitude.

• Strong attention to detail/accuracy.

• Good writing skills, including proofreading.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences.

Preferred/Other Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience in mortgage servicing, real estate, or applicable field.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or move about the organization or remote office.
