Description:

Technical Writer I

Location: 1101 Greenwood Boulevard Lake Mary, Florida

Length of Contract: Until the end of the year w/ possible extension and/or conversion in the future based on performance

Manager looking to start selected candidate ASAP after screenings have cleared

Interview Process: 1st will be a video conference, could extend to a 2nd interview depending upon candidate

This position focuses on documenting processes within the Heart Failure Division,ย 

utilizing established templates.

The associate will collaborate across multiple departments,ย 

working closely with managers, stakeholders, and various operational teams.ย 

This role falls within the Heart Failure Division, specifically supportingย 

Operations and Continuous Improvement efforts.

Key tools used include Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce, and PowerPoint. Experience with Windchill is a plus.

Process Flow:

Information is gathered from meetings, provided documentation,

and internal systems to develop process documentation.

Drafts are then shared with stakeholders for review and approval.

Follow-up is conducted as needed to address questions, gather additional details,

and incorporate updates. Finalized documents are uploaded upon approval.

*Must be detail oriented, very organized and have the ability to multitask.

Will be working on multiple documents at one time.

Will also be utilizing multiple sites and systems.

* Good follow through required and excellent communication skills to ask to qualifying/follow up questions regarding the various processes that are being documented.

Top Skills Required:

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a technical writer or document specialist

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with continuous change

Job Responsibilities

Coaches and develops other Technical Specialists.

Leads team for high level initiatives reporting to steering teams.

Provides technical expertise, historical perspective, industry standard, and regulation code requirements to improve safety, productivity, and material performance.

Performs advanced process mapping techniques with less tenured employees.

Leads meetings with assigned LOB stakeholders.

Handles high level written work methods development with attention to deep dive analysis of work methods best practices.

May lead, support or review investigations of human factor related events that occur in the electric system.

May develop or lead QC and QA programs to ensure appropriate programs exist and effectively gauge results of procedural adherence and training programs.

Qualifications Minimum:

High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma

Electric utility industry experience, 10 years including 5 years of Work Methods & Procedures Specialist experience, or equivalent relevant experience.

Desired:

Associates Degree or equivalent experience

Experience with MS-Microsoft Office applications-Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Word, 2 years

Electrical Technician Journey certification
