What you’ll do: While strong phone skills are important, this position is primarily focused—about 75%—on order entry and inventory management, with only 25% being phone work. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Performing detailed order entry, releasing pick tickets, updating shipment dates, and maintaining accurate inventory records using computer systems and relevant software
  • Managing inventory for customer accounts, tracking product availability, and releasing and closing orders
  • Providing customers with documentation, including invoices, order confirmations, and inventory reports
  • Responding to emails from customers and internal teams, sending EDI PO acknowledgments, ASNs, and invoices
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure inventory levels meet customer requirements
  • Filing sales orders, updating reports, and supporting other distribution operations as needed
  • Handling customer calls about orders, inventory, documentation, and product information

  • Experience with order entry, inventory management, and using inventory or ERP systems

  • EDI knowledge and experience (preferred)
