Job description

Overview

Job Title: Scanning Operator Level 1
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19103
Job Type: Hourly Consultant

Duration: Two months with potential Extension through the end of the year
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, M-F
Pay: $20/hr

Essential Functions:
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of a Digital Imaging Center, with a primary focus on document scanning, digital imaging, and related production activities.

  • Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging and scanning process.

  • Inspect physical documents for quality issues, damage, unusual conditions, or other factors that may affect the scanning process.

  • Prepare and organize a wide variety of document types and conditions for scanning.

  • Operate scanning and digital imaging equipment according to established procedures and customer specifications.

  • Index scanned images using naming conventions and procedures established by the customer and/or Digital Imaging Center leadership.

  • Perform post-imaging services and quality checks as required.

  • Handle and manage large volumes of individual documents accurately and securely.

  • Meet established production goals, deadlines, and contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Identify potential issues with documents or scanning processes and escalate problems when appropriate.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of customer information and documents.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Experience:

  • Previous data-entry experience as a Data Entry Operator, Office Clerk, or similar role is preferred.

  • Experience working with scanning, digital imaging, document management, or production equipment is a plus.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and data-entry systems preferred.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Demands:

  • Minimal to moderate physical effort is required.

  • Ability to move boxes and load paper or documents into scanning equipment.

  • Project preparation and scanning activities require finger dexterity and frequent movement between machines.

  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, and move throughout the work area as required.

Mental Demands:

  • Strong problem-solving and information-comprehension skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and concentration while performing repetitive tasks.

  • Strong mental acuity and attention to detail.
